Views and linked entries¶
A table can be shown in two ways: the grid (one row per entry) and columns (one column per value of a Category field, like a kanban board). The entry form also lists the linked entries: the entries of other tables that point to the one you are looking at.
Grid or columns¶
When a table has at least one Category field, two buttons appear in the toolbar: Grid and Columns.
- One column per value of the category, in the order of the category table, with its color and the number of entries. Entries without a value go to a last column (“No Stage”).
- Cards show the title of the entry and up to 3 other fields. Choose them with Card fields, above the columns on the right.
- Drag a card to another column to change its category: it is saved at once, in every language, and collaborators see the card move in real time.
- Click a card to open the usual entry form.
- Add at the bottom of a column creates an entry already set to that value.
- The quick search, the active filters and the sort of the grid also apply to the columns. Each column loads 50 cards, then Show more.
If the table has several Category fields (Stage, Priority, Owner…), Columns by, above the columns on the left, chooses the one that makes the columns.
Each person has their own view: switching a table to columns changes nothing for your collaborators. The choice is remembered per table, in your browser.
Only Category fields can make columns: a Relation can hold several entries, so a card would be in several columns at once.

Linked entries¶
At the bottom of the form of an entry, Linked entries lists the entries of other tables whose Relation or Category field points to it, grouped by table and field, with their number. For example:
- on a company: its contacts (Contacts via “Company”);
- on a stage of the Stage table: the contacts at that stage (Contacts via “Stage”);
- on a dish category: its dishes.
Click an entry to open it in its own table. Up to 20 entries are shown per group, the most recent first, with the total.
Linked entries are read only and visible to every role.
